New regulation on FAR Part 135 in Japan


Greeting from Tokyo!

New regulation regarding Charter (Revenue) flights (FAR Part 135) has been announced during NBAA 2013 in Las Vegas.

Some of you may have already heard about it that the aircraft flying as FAR Part 135 / Charter now can carry passengers inter Japan Airports under the condition listed below.

This regulation started from 01 November 2013.
 
 
All Operators are required to clear below items to get approval to carry passengers inter Japan airports.
 
1. No new passenger pick up and drop off for domestic movement. Those passengers who get on board for the domestic leg must be on GenDec of International arrival or departure.
 
2. The Ministry of Transport requests us to hand in the list of passengers with their job titles as well as documents for Charter permit application.
 
3. The purpose of the flight must be for "Business" only.
